Summer is finally upon us! Hurrah! The pace is slower and it's time to stay out late and make the most of the warm evenings. From wine that goes perfectly with seafood, New World discoveries to wine and vinyl parties, here are just some of the events that you need to know about this summer.

Wednesday 21 June - Wild Aussie Winemakers part of the Explore the New World Series

Discover a new generation of rebel vignerons, defying the classics, and creating truly unique, fresh and mineral wines (featuring Pat Sullivan, Xavier Goodridge, Jauma, Gentle Folk, Si Vintners & Sam Vincuilo). Wine and nibbles, £20. Too short notice? Then how about these other new worlds...

Tuesday  27 and Wed 28 June  - Fresh Kiwi: wines of New Zealand

Explore both of the New Zealand's Island with wines from Martinborough, Otago & Wairarapa.

Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July - Winemakers make America great again!

In the past American wines have often been described as over worked and artificially influenced. But, there are purists in the land of the free, keeping wine honest and simply making great wine with love and respect. Enjoy tasting from Bow & Arrow, Ryme Wine Cellar, La Clarine Farm & Ovum Wines, making American wine great again.

Saturday 8th July Terroirs' Summer Party!

The Juicy Fruit duo, Charlie [Les Caves' very own Charlie Prymaka that is] & Beni will be kicking off from 10pm - churning out funky, disco vinyl well in to the night. The kitchen will be open until 11pm... after that all the focus will be on wine! As always, there will be 300-something wines to choose from along with a shop-price wine list. Book a table or just drop in. Come alone or with a bunch of friends.

Soif's Celebration of Seafood

Wednesday 19 July Soif's Summer Seafood Chargrill

Think Scottish mussels, scallops and whole grilled Cornish turbot to share. Five market-fresh seafood dishes with wines from northern France, Spain and Southern Italy - including Muscadet, Chenin Blanc and Ribeira Sacra. £65 per person.
