Grape Variety: Rondinella

Colour: Red

A minor grape native to northeastern Italy’s Veneto region, Rondinella is planted exclusively to that area. With the primary Corvina grape, it is blended with Molinara and Negrara to produce Valpolicella in both its dry and amarone or recioto versions.

The fruit is succulent, with sweet, one-dimensional flavours and moderately low sugar and acidity. Rondinella is not a sufficiently complete grape to stand alone.
