Grape Variety: Centesimino

Colour:

Red

Found in Italy in the Emilia Romagna region, in the 1940’s it was called “red Sauvignon” - see the Arcolaio Ravenna Rosso from Leone Conti (Faenza, Emilia Romagna) this wine is made from 40-yr old Centesimino vines - the colour is intense ruby, the nose suggests the richness of the wine with sweet red fruits to the fore as well as the warmth of the alcohol, the attack is bright and savoury with plenty of spice.
