This is a lazy way of referring to either Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Franc, one is expected to understand from the context which one of the two it is, as a general rule, people use the word “Cabernet” to refer to Cabernet Sauvignon, a more widespread varietal than Cabernet Franc.
