Grown in the south of Italy, in Campania around the Bay of Naples Biancolella reaches its metaphorical and literal peak in the single vineyard Vigna Frassitelli from the island of Ischia. This vineyard is famous for its beauty and extraordinary location - the grapes are grown at a high elevation, and is considered one of the most beautiful vineyards in the world, the vineyard’s elevation and the fact that the grapes are harvested by hand has led experts to refer to winemaking here as a “heroic activity”. The Vigna Frassitelli has a deep straw colour, and shows exuberant aromas of apricot, yellow peach and damson and lively nuances of pink grapefruit filled out by more complex tones of Mediterranean maquis.
