A Portuguese grape, used for the production of Vinho Verde and often blended with Loureira. See the Vinho Verde from Casa de Cello which displaya all the customary pear and apple fruit aromas with a floral and green notes and lovely succulent fruit on the palate, with lots of lemon and dry, apple-and-pear qualities and a very dry, pithy lemon finish. Avesso gives the moutfeel to the blend.
